DexterLook who's here. The great emancipator. Well, hero - what are you doing here?
MeI'm looking for a few answers.
DexterI never thought you'd come here voluntarily.
MeWhat do you mean by that?
DexterI mean that I've been looking for you. Haven't you seen any of my wanted posters?
DexterThey all bear YOUR mug. Oh yes ... you're very much wanted. Didn't you know that?
MeSOMEONE is passing around pieces of paper with my face on them. SOMEONE told me that it's you.
DexterSomebody talks too much.
DexterBut you're right. I distributed those wanted posters. And, lo and behold - here you are.
MeSo what do you want from me?
DexterMe? Nothing whatsoever. But my boss is hell-bent on seeing you dead.
DexterSo he wants me to find you and bring him your head.
MeI don't believe a word you're saying.
DexterHey, it's true. I swear on my mother's grave!
MeA mercenary named Patrick's been seen here.
DexterPatrick, huh? No idea what you're talking about.
DexterI do recall some loud-mouthed mercenary who hung out with the boys out there sometimes.
Dexter(obviously lying) But I haven't seen him in ages.
Dexter(acting innocent) Maybe he got himself hanged at last. I wouldn't know.
MeThere's this fellow with an eyepatch. He's looking for YOU!
DexterEverybody's looking for me. I couldn't care less.
DexterIf that guy has some business with me, let him come here.
MeThey say that you're kidnapping people from Khorinis.
DexterSo you found that out, too. Good work, buster.
DexterAnd here I was thinking I had covered my tracks.
MeWhere did those people disappear to? Maybe down the mines, somewhere here?
Dexter(laughs) They're far away in the north-east by now where you can't get to them.
DexterI could show you where exactly, but I don't know why I would want to do that.
MeWho gave you this order?
DexterMy boss. He's a dangerous man. You know him: Raven, one of the former ore barons from the old camp in the Valley of Mines.
DexterHe needs those people to fulfill his plans. And that's all you need to know.
MeRaven, dangerous? Oh well ...
Dexter(irritated) What do YOU know? You don't know him like I do.
Dexter(unsure) He was a miserable swine even back then, but these days ...
DexterHe has changed since the fall of the Barrier. There's a black shadow across his face.
Dexter(intimidated) His fierce glance will pierce you like the claws of a raptor if you look into his eyes for too long.
DexterMy only advice to you is: Leave Khorinis as fast as you can, before it's too late.
Dexter(somberly) There's nothing here for you. Except for certain death.
MeAn ore baron here, in Khorinis?
DexterHe's no longer an ore baron. He's got plans of his own, and Khorinis will feel that before long.
MeYour boss? Who's that supposed to be?
Dexter(laughs) Wouldn't you just love to know that? Yes, I can imagine.
Dexter(serious) I don't see any reason why I should tell you.
MeAnd what do you intend to do now? Kill me?
DexterYeah. But you set us all free. That's why I'm giving you another chance. Beat it - disappear, make yourself invisible. Go and don't cross my path again.
MeI need to know where you brought those people.
Dexter(laughs) Well. You could try beating it out of me ...
Dexter(menacing) It's better for you if you leave now.
DexterIf I see you around here again, I won't hesitate to kill you.
Dexter(attacking) You asked for this ...
DexterOh man, you'd have done better not to show up here. You're the wrong man in the wrong place.
MeYou want my head? Come and get it, then!
Dexter(attacking) If that's what you want ...
