Alligator Jack	If you're looking for me, you'll usually find me near my camp in front of the palisade.
Me	Palisade?
Alligator Jack	Just continue west from here and you'll see what I mean.
Alligator Jack	Who on earth are YOU? You don't look like the others.
Me	What others?
Alligator Jack	Well, the mages who are hanging around those ruins over there.
Alligator Jack	Are you one of that bunch, then?
Alligator Jack	Brave thing to run around here by yourself.
Me	Who are you?
Alligator Jack	I'm sure you've heard of me before.
Alligator Jack	(proudly) I'm Alligator Jack.
Alligator Jack	Feared all over the country. I'm one of the most dangerous pirates around here.
Alligator Jack	Together with Cap'n Greg I've boarded more merchant vessels than I count.
Alligator Jack	You're looking at a living legend here.
Me	Do you know a fellow named Raven?
Alligator Jack	Of course. He's the leader of the bandits to the east.
Alligator Jack	What's your business with HIM?
Alligator Jack	I've got a better idea.
Alligator Jack	Come and join us.
Alligator Jack	That'll give you time to think about it.
Alligator Jack	Once you've tried our good home-brewed rum, things will look very different.
Me	I've got to kill him.
Alligator Jack	(laughs) What? YOU? How are you going to do THAT?
Alligator Jack	Isn't that guy way out of your league?
Alligator Jack	You won't even get close to him. The bandits he's surrounded himself with will skin you alive first.
Alligator Jack	You won't even get past their first outpost.
Alligator Jack	The way you look, those bandits will get itchy fingers when they spot you a mile away.
Me	I want to join him.
Alligator Jack	(slyly) Is that so?
Alligator Jack	But you don't look at all like someone who would want to join those crackpots.
Me	I need a bandit's armor.
Alligator Jack	What would you do with THAT?
Alligator Jack	It'll only get you into trouble if you're seen with it.
Alligator Jack	Everyone's going to take you for a bandit and will try to kill you.
Me	Sounds good ...
Alligator Jack	Yes, but only to someone who's suicidal.
Me	Do you have any idea where I could find armor like that?
Alligator Jack	We used to have one in our pirate camp.
Alligator Jack	But I don't know whether it's still there.
Me	Your captain's name is Greg?
Alligator Jack	Right. He's the greatest pirate the sea ever spawned.
Me	I think I know your captain. I met him in Khorinis.
Alligator Jack	(laughs) Greg? In Khorinis? Nonsense!
Alligator Jack	Greg is out at sea after booty with some of the lads.
Alligator Jack	The only thing that could bring Greg to Khorinis would be one of the King's prison galleys.
Alligator Jack	He's one of the most wanted men in the land.
Alligator Jack	He'd never march into town voluntarily and have the royal guard throw him into prison.
Me	If you say so.
Me	Where's your pirate camp?
Alligator Jack	See the cave passage over there? Go through it and continue west, and you'll come to our beach sooner or later.
Alligator Jack	That's where our log huts are.
Alligator Jack	I can take you there if you want, if you do me a favor first.
Me	What would that be?
Alligator Jack	I'll have to get the boys some meat before I can go back to camp.
Alligator Jack	You're a strong fellow.
Alligator Jack	I could use your help hunting. Interested?
Me	What is it you hunt?
Alligator Jack	Only alligators, usually. But they're no good for eating.
Alligator Jack	And there aren't any left around here anyway.
Alligator Jack	So I take what I can find: swamp rats.
Me	What?
Alligator Jack	Most beasts around here taste like old socks, or they're as tough as alligator meat.
Alligator Jack	Those fat swamp rats are the only thing that is remotely edible.
Me	Tell me more about you pirates.
Alligator Jack	We've been living here for years. Back before the war, everyone knew us from here to the mainland.
Alligator Jack	Our flag alone would spread terror among the crews of merchant vessels.
Alligator Jack	But those times are past now. It's been weeks since we've run into a merchant vessel.
Alligator Jack	Our Cap'n Greg left to try and catch another.
Alligator Jack	The rest of us are sitting here in camp, twiddling our thumbs until he comes back.
Alligator Jack	I hope he'll bring back lots of booty.
Me	Let's go hunting.
Alligator Jack	All right. With two people, that's child's play.
Alligator Jack	Are you ready?
Me	Yes.
Alligator Jack	Great. Just stay right behind me.
Me	No, not yet.
Alligator Jack	Hurry up, then.
Alligator Jack	The hollow.
Alligator Jack	There should be some of those beasts around here.
Alligator Jack	Follow me.
Alligator Jack	I was afraid of that.
Me	What?
Alligator Jack	This handful of beasts here is only about half of what I need.
Alligator Jack	Now we'll have to enter the canyon.
Alligator Jack	Watch out, it's very dangerous deeper down in the canyon.
Alligator Jack	If you hold your life dear, stay very close to me.
Me	What IS there in the canyon?
Alligator Jack	We avoid that area if it's at all possible.
Alligator Jack	That's where you find razors. Tough beasts, those. Stay away from them if you want to live another day.
Me	Fine, let's go.
Alligator Jack	All right.
Alligator Jack	Come on.
Alligator Jack	Say, can you tell me what I took you along for?
Alligator Jack	You didn't kill a single swamp rat.
Alligator Jack	Oh well. Maybe you can be useful some other way.
Alligator Jack	Well done, we can use someone like you.
Alligator Jack	You brought down one of those beasts on your first hunt. Not bad.
Alligator Jack	You're a talented hunter.
Alligator Jack	My goodness! If you continue like that, I'll be able to stay in camp next time.
Alligator Jack	Here, take this swamp rat meat to lazy old Morgan.
Alligator Jack	You'll find him in our camp.
Alligator Jack	He's probably lounging on the beach somewhere. He'll be waiting for this.
Alligator Jack	Henry usually guards the entrance to the camp and keeps a lookout for bandits.
Alligator Jack	If he refuses to let you in, just tell him that I sent you.
Alligator Jack	Maybe that'll make him a bit more sociable.
Alligator Jack	Henry is a little too eager and a bit bossy, too.
Me	Do you know Angus and his friend Hank?
Alligator Jack	I haven't seen them in a while.
Alligator Jack	And I wouldn't mind if the pair of them never came back.
Me	Why?
Alligator Jack	Oh, those bums always hung around the lake, scaring off the game.
Me	WHAT lake would that be?
Alligator Jack	Remember our hunt?
Me	Yep.
Alligator Jack	The lake in the hollow. That's where I usually saw them.
Alligator Jack	The lake in the big hollow.
Alligator Jack	Just walk east from our camp. You can't miss the hollow.
Alligator Jack	There's lots of little waterfalls there.
Alligator Jack	But watch out - if there's nothing but dry sand underfoot, you've missed a turn and entered the canyon.
Me	Can you teach me something?
Alligator Jack	Sure, I'm a good hunter and I can show you how to skin animals and pull their teeth.
Alligator Jack	I'll teach you if you like.
Alligator Jack	But first show me that you're ready for the hunt.
Alligator Jack	Once we've been out hunting together, I might do it.
Me	Teach me!
Alligator Jack	What is it you want to learn?
Alligator Jack	Always make the cut at the belly, or the quality will suffer.
Alligator Jack	All right then.
Me	Let's go hunting.
